Seems there are moves afoot to help with the general photo education of the masses.
National Geographic have it with tips from some of their pro contributors in a special gallery.
PICTURE THIS is a Channel4 collaboration with Flickr. The programme features a competition between a handful of emerging photographers. Each submits a proposal and an initial set of images, from which the winner will be chosen and awarded publication of their work as a book and a major exhibition.
The associated web site features helpful essays on photographic technique. It also allows web site visitors to upload their images to a special Flickr site and appear in the Picture This gallery.
