Here are answers that have helped Listees with some recent problems

1 Q: How do I get a copy of my Password?

Answer:
Go to the LOGIN/register page (in the menu under “USING PRODIG”)

Click LOGIN/Register

A new window will open

Scroll to the bottom

Next to the button labeled “Unsubscribe or edit options”enter your email address (the one you subscribe to Prodig with)

Next page, Click “Remind

A copy will be emailed to your subscribed address.

2 Q: How do I change my Subscription Options?

Answer:
Click LOGIN/register in the top navigation bar, on this web site

A new window will open

Scroll to the bottom

Next to the button labeled “Unsubscribe or edit options” enter your email address (the one you subscribe to Prodig with)

On the page that follows, enter your Password and Click LOGIN

The page it takes you to contains all you subscriber settings.

Make the changes you need

To SAVE your options.. scroll to bottom of that page

Click “Submit My Changes

Let the page refresh

Scroll back to the top and Click LOG OUT

You’re done.

3 Q: How do I change to the Digest version?

Answer:
LOGIN as in Question 2 above

On the subscriber options page…

SET DIGEST MODE – select “ON

If you know your email can handle MIME formatted digests (NOT Outlook/Express) you can also select this:-
Get MIME or Plain Text Digest? – select “MIME

Don’t forget to SAVE your options and Log Out

4 Q: I am subscribed but don’t appear to be receiving messages?

Answer:
It may be that your mail has been bouncing
Either your mailserver had a problem, or
you activated an Auto-responder (tut tut!) whilst you were on vacation.

In either case, or something similar, it could be that your subscription has been put on Hold to prevent problems for the List.

If you have now fixed the problem causing the bounces you can switch off the Hold setting.

LOGIN as in Question 2 above

On the subscriber options page…

MAIL DELIVERY – change selection to “Enabled

Don’t forget to SAVE your options and Log Out

5 Q: Why did I receive this message?

Subject: Your message to Prodig awaits moderator approval

Your mail to ‘Prodig’ with the subject

‘your subject line’

Is being held until the list moderator can review it for approval.

The reason it is being held:

Post by non-member to a members-only list

Answer:
You have tried to send a message from an address which is different to the one you are subscribed by.
Cancel the message (info in the auto-response) and send again from the right address.

6 Q: How can I change my subscribed address?

Answer:
LOGIN as in Question 2 above.
Complete the section “Changing your Prodig membership information“.

7 Q: Where can I find the address for sending a message to the List?

Answer:
Following the major upgrade which went live 1 Jan 2005
the address for sending a message to the List changed.

To find the address, go to the LOGIN/register panel.
