The British Higher School of Art & Design in Moscow is offering a Photography Degree course in collaboration with the University of Hertfordshire.
After the 1st year of the programme they are extending the team and are advertising for a new member of staff.

This is a new post and an outstanding opportunity for a creative and highly motivated individual experienced in studio based photographic practice to have a significant input into developing a high calibre, internationally facing Photography Degree programme, within a vibrant and dynamic Art School in the centre of Moscow that has been at the forefront of Art & Design education in Russia since its inception 11 years ago.

As with all of our undergraduate Degree provision, the BA (Hons) Photography programme is accredited by our partner institution, The University of Hertfordshire and as such follows the programme specification of BA (Hons) Photography at UH. The programme launched last year and September 2014 will see 2 year groups in place. Students from the 1st year of the programme have already achieved major successes with 3 students exhibiting at a group show at the Garage Centre of Contemporary Culture indicating that the programme has a strong future.

Salary rate: 32000–45500 GBP, depending on position applied for, your grade and experience. Note that income tax in Russia is just 13%.

Place of work: Moscow, Russia. The School is within an Arts district located close to the city centre (just 1 stop from Red Square) and within close proximity to several metro lines.

Start Date: If successful you will be expected to be settled in Moscow before the start of the 2014/15 academic year and suggest that you arrive during the last week of August in order to find accommodation and subsequently be ready to start work at BHSAD on Monday 1st September.
